When it comes to the ‘big band’ sound, many people immediately think of bands like Glenn Miller’s. The music made famous by the Glenn Miller band is still very popular and often requested. Even young people ask for tunes by name.

The Southern Dance Orchestra has a wide repertoire that includes music from the 1930’s to beyond the 1970’s, and includes hits made famous by Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin and others. Our vocalist, Pete Jackson, brings his unique style to the Band, and contributes another dimension to the Band’s performance.
