The SDO offers a treat to anyone who appreciates the live sound of real music. The SDO is based in the Solent area and has a wide repertoire of arrangements, from swing to strict tempo for ballroom dancing, as well as modern standards.

Musical Director Ken Howell has worked in big bands for over fifty years, and brings a wealth of expertise to the band. Our bassist/vocalist, Pete Jackson, adds an extra touch of class and complements the band’s sound beautifully.
